Go-Ahead London's Enviro200's (SE's)- Summary
Ever since 2007, Alexander Dennis Enviro200's have been ordered by Go-Ahead London and most other operators in London. Enviro200's are the UK's most successful Single Decker bus with over 1500 on the road. Go-Ahead London currently owns 166 of the Enviro200's in London.
2007
Route 200 was successfully won by London General from Centra (This was because Centra London sold all of there operations because they went bust). London General planned to use a brand new and different type of bus on this route and thats when the first 17 Enviro200's to GAL were born. These Enviro200's were to be operated from AL (Merton Garage). (SE1-SE17)
In August 2007, Go-Ahead London bought 18 Enviro200's for Blue Triangle's Rainham Garage (BE) but these buses did not come with GAL's skirt as Blue Triangle was recently bought by GAL not to long before these E200's arrived. (SE18-SE35)
2008
In March 2008, Go-Ahead London order 1 brand new Enviro200 for Rainham Garage. (SE36)
2010
On September 14th 2009 it was announced that Go-Ahead London was to gain Route 300 from East London (Now Stagecoach). Operation were to commence from March2010. Go-Ahead London had ordered 10 new Enviro200's for Silvertown Garage. They did go to Silvertown temporarily, but sadly on September 17th 2011 these 10 Enviro200's transferred to Rainham Garage along with Route 300. (SE37-SE46)
In December 2010, Go-Ahead London retained Route 170 with 8 new 10.8m Enviro200's these were to operate with existing Plaxton Darts. The 8 new Enviro200's were to be operated from Stockwell Garage (SW). (SE47-SE54)
In December 2010, Go-Ahead London ordered 30 new Enviro200's. These Enviro200's were to go to Belvedere (BV) and Bexleyheath (BX) Garages.
-Belvedere Garage gained some of these Enviro200's for Route 244 as the had been retained by GAL.
-Bexleyheath Garage gained some of these Enviro200's for all Single Decker routes in Bexleyheath Garage to oust some of the Plaxton Pointer's inside the garage. They were also bought as some of the routes in BX were retained by GAL.
2011
On April 29th 2011, Route P5 was retained by Go-Ahead London with 9 brand new Enviro200's from Camberwell Garage (Q). (SE85-SE93)
On 17th September 2011, Go-Ahead London successfully won Routes 276, 376, D6 and D8. Go-Ahead ordered 57 brand new Enviro200's. (SE95-SE103) 9 Enviro200's were ordered for Route 376 from Rainham Garage. (SE104-SE152) 46 Enviro200's were ordered for Routes 276, D6 and D8 from Silvetown (SI) Garage.
On 8th October 2011, Go-Ahead London retained Route P12 with 14 new Enviro200's from Peckham Garage (PM). (SE153-SE166)
Currently Go-Ahead London Have around 30 new Enviro200's on order for Route 413 and 493 which should be here in the next 8 months
