Today we saw the last of 12 bendy bus routes convert into a double decker operation. Route 207, Route 207 operates between Hayes By-Pass and White City. Calling at Hanwell Broadway, Southall, Ealing, Acton, Shepherd's Bush Market, Shepherds Bush and White City. The routes conversion saw 39 brand new OmniCity's destined for the route. Today there were 32 buses on Route 207, 31 OmniCity's and 1 Volvo B9TL/Gemini 2. 4 OmniCity's were found on other local routes. Route 607 had 2 OmniCity's and Route 427 had 2. I have to say that these OmniCity's look fantastic and possibly are the best in London so far. Cheers to First!

ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate that they can't order any more, because they are excellent buses. It is good that the Omnicity can end on a high, but I really wish they kept it going. They will be my favourite buses for a long time yet.

ReplyDeleteThere is some Good news. There will be one last batch of Omnicities in london sort of anyway. Stagecoach will Refurbish their omnicities once route 106 leaves. They will gain Stagecoach interior and possibly side destination Blinds. (They already have SmartBlinds). Buy the time the refurbished Stagecaoch ones enter service these First ones will probably be worn out. In that case Stagecoach will own the best omnicities in London
