Some Of London's Enviro400's...

The Enviro400 is one of the UK's best selling buses and is one favoured type of bus in London's operations. Originally tested on Route 24 when with Metroline in 2006, the buses proved to be a success and another batch were imminently bought for route 196's successful gain to London General from Travel London. Over the years more and more Enviro400's started to appear on London's roads. And in early 2009 saw the first set of Enviro400H Hybrids enter service with London's operations on Routes 16, 196 and 482

Since then E400H's have been Europe's most successful hybrid bus with Volvo's B5L Engine/Chassis in a Gemini 2 body not to far behind.

The Enviro 400 is also avaliable with 2 other chassis - Volvo B9TL and Scania N230UD/N270UD. Currently London owns 3 B9TL/E400's (Route 85) and reports have suggested that we may get more, but lets see whats in store for the next few years. Reports have also suggested that N230UD/E400's may go to Stagecoach's Catford Garage but we are currently uncertain of this. Lets see how the next few years of E400's in London's market ravel out... I reckon that E400's will be on London's market for the next 10 years but who knows.

Below are some photos of E400's around London.
