The New bus for London at Night

On Monday 27th February the New Bus for London finally did enter service on route 38 on a journey which commenced just after midday from Hackney Central Station.


But from the start there were problems, First there was a door problem where it just refused to close and second it stalled out at green park but did restart quite soon after.

A Small Review


If you have read my other post's you will know I am a Man of few words but here goes, The upper deck was like stuffy sauna with one noisy air-con unit, So loud you could hardly here the iBus announcements and you had speak quite loud to be heard over it.The engine noise is quite loud on the top deck (you can't hear it as much in the lower saloon) and you feel the bus shudder every time it starts and stops which I can tell you is not very nice compared to a Volvo B5H.
On a good note the LED lighting is very nice on the top deck but it does seem a bit dim in some places but at least its not so Bright it hurt's your eye's. (Like VLW 198 and a Few of Go-ahead's E40D's) 
The ride quality was exceptionally good. Acceleration in battery mode was exceptionally good, the bus being totally silent apart from just a little motor noise. When the engine did cut in, downstairs you could hardly hear it but Upstairs, you hear it a lot and can feel lots of vibration and the bus shaking when it starts and stops, just like an E20D
