100th Post: Observations and Odd Workings- Finsbury Park, London Bridge and LT1

Finally, we have docked into the "bus stop" of our 100th post and were are very pleased, it takes a lot of time and devotion to run this blog, and whoever you are and what ever your views are on this blog, we sincerely try our best to make sure it is very suitable for you needs. In March, the team and I promised to bring you more observation and odd working posts. So we did, we tried our hardest to get some decent shots in this battlefield of rain today. Here are some shots of today below.

Whilst out with Dave, our main priority for today was to focus on Routes 19 and 43, as they both have gain a new batch of buses recently. Route 19- a transferred to London General's Stockwell Garage on 31st March 2012 gaining 15 new B5LH Hybrid/Gemini 2's and 13 new B9TL/Gemini 2's. Whilst out we picked up some shots along the way at places such as London Bridge, Finsbury Park and Angel. Below are even more shots of my observations today.

LT1 now in service:
Yesturday, Monday 2nd April, the first out of the fleet of eight new buses for London entered service alongside the second in the batch which had entered service on the 27th February 2012. LT1's face has seemed to be much more famous than LT2's face seeing as LT1 was used to advertise and promote the new bus for Londoners in December 2011 and January 2012. Now as there are now two NB4L's in service on London Bus Route 38, TfL are soon hoping to introduce a weekend service upon the NB4L section of Route 38. A third New Bus For London is expected to be delivered to Ash Grove Garage on Good Friday and hopefully will be shoved upon Route 38 by Monday 9th April 2012.

Whilst at Angel, I had gotten off of WHV31 along with Dave due to such a slow driver, we planned on waiting for WHV17 which was shortly behind to turn up, where we would continue our journey to Batteresa Bridge, when this baby turned up. We boarded the route until Victoria where we made our own ways home, I took the opportunity to take shots of the NB4L and here they are below.

  1. Can't wait for a trip on the NBFL, I'm hoping to be in London mid June, by which stage there should be eight of them on Route 38. Really hope Boris gets back in as Mayor, because if he does, this machine will be rolled out across the TFL fleet, and we will have an iconic replecement for the 1950s designed Routemaster, and a great New Bus For London!

    1. I'm not too fond in the New Bus for London but it does bring the old and new of London together to show a sign of the spirit of London
