A sad loss for Metroline as Route C2 passes to Abellio

Route C2 was succesfully won by Abellio London and now operates with 20 brand new diesel Enviro E400's. These will be the first diesel E40D's for Abellio London to gain which are built to the new WTA specification. The fleet numbers are numbered between 9524 and 9543 and are the first 12 Plate DD's for Abellio.

The route operates between Victoria and Parliament Hill Fields (Gospel Oak) which is approximately 6 miles long and holds a firm Peak Vehicle Requirement of 18 buses.

The first day of operation was not that good as you may have expected mainly due to drivers not knowing the route but it all seemed to have sorted its self out at around 6PM

There were quite a few turns mainly to Oxford Circus as a result of lane restrictions due to road works in various places and new drivers.

And I am sure you are fed up of seeing these things but here is LT6 on the 38

  1. Dave the C2 along with many other central london routes was curtailed to Berkley Sqaure/Oxford Circus until around 2pm due to a bike demonstration. I think it affected around 35 routes yesterday morning/mid afternoon. Nothing the drivers can do about it. It was clearly advertised at all central london stops

    1. Not that you can tell but I did the route around 5/6PM after all the madness had happened and there were still frequent turns all day as a mate of mine reported around 8PM
