An Exclusive Look at Stagecoach London 23108
Now if you are not aware of what I am talking about its the new Citaro's for Route 227,The 227 is a short but frequent and busy link across south London, linking Bromley and Crystal Palace it is also one of very few single deck routes in London where full sized single deckers are considered necessary due to loadings. The route cannot take Double Deck's due to a low bridge on route.
This is what is currently on the route but will be phased out from the 23rd of June
These are 11.3M Long Super Pointer Darts and are on a 3 Speed Voith gearbox which makes for a nice pleasant ride they are also the only examples ever used on TfL work so I would ride them while you can.
So what will be replacing them, Only 13 brand new state of the art Mercedes Citaro's the first ordered by Stagecoach and they are also the first buses ordered by Stagecoach for London on the ZF Gearbox
The reg's and fleet no's of the Citaros are as follows:
23101 LX12 DKK
23102 LX12 DKL
23103 LX12 DKN
23104 LX12 DKO
23105 LX12 DKU

23103 LX12 DKN
23104 LX12 DKO
23105 LX12 DKU
23106 LX12 DKV

Now before I bore you with some more pointless information let's have a look at them.
Now you may have noticed that the wheelchair space is larger than usual this was a custom spec for this batch as the route is heavily used by buggy's.
Hope you enjoyed the post and from the 23rd look out for these amazing buses
