Observations and Odd Workings - 9th June 2012

Over the past week, I have been browsing around London for some Odd Workings, but with hardly any luck, I decided to stay near my local town!

The first thing which I got was this:

Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 - LK60 AFX - TE1086 at Cricklewood Broadway

These TE's are based at Cricklewood Garage (W), and were used on route 266, which was recently lost to First London. Now that 266 was gone, Cricklewood allocated these buses to route 32, even though now and again you may see a few TPL's or TAL's still on the route!

The next thing that I saw was another TE, but this time on route 82!
LK58 KHP - TE948 on route 82 at Golders Green
These TE's are based at Potters Bar Garage (PB), and are currently allocated to route 263 and N91, but sometimes found strolling on route 82. The TE's seem to be slowly making their way to route 82, as I have recently seen these numerous times in the past few months!

Route 82 is due to get new Enviro 400's next year, so for the time being keep an eye out for these as we patiently wait for the new buses!

The final thing which I have seen is the First London Streetlite! This bus is currently allocated on routes 226 & 228!

The route currently switches weekly between these routes, and is currently on 226!

I've seen the bus around a dozen times, and can't get enough of it!

First London Streetlite: DRZ 6181 - WM47400 at Golders Green
First London Streetlite: DRZ 6181 - WM47400 at Golders Green
Cab of Streetlite: DRZ 6181 - WM47400
Before I finish off, I'd just like to share one final photo!

These above are timetable numbers, which help operators track down the timetable and help tell operators whether the bus is in order or needs to swap shifts!

  1. I like the streetlittle on the 226/228 but some drivers say the cab is to small and that they prefer the E200 so i don't fink this bus will be here for long

    1. The driver which I spoke to yesterday said that it is lighter and easier to drive, so all drivers have their opinions!

  2. I can see that the running plates in the last photo are from the 13 when London gets a bit crazy. It really is my favorite route and one I really miss driving.

On the 13 the running order goes 1, 2, 3 up intil 20. However This is not always the case on other routes as buses slot in during peak hours
