New TE's for Cricklewood: Enter Service!
London Returns to Normality
Over the past 3 months, London has faced one of it's biggest challenges over the Summer: The Olympics.
Throughout the whole of September, London Bus Companies have been returning to normal service after their vehicles have been used on either Olympic shuttles or helping passenger increases on certain routes.
This series of posts will be on the buses used as Olympic Shuttles, as well as new arrivals for bus companies!
Part 1 : Metroline's new TE's!

Part 1 : Metroline's new TE's!
Now, you may remember back in May 2012 when we visited Metroline's CELF Centre - Click Here and these buses had just been delivered. Three months later, and after their use as Olympic Shuttle Buses, these buses have been introduced into service on most routes at Cricklewood (routes 16, 32,139, 189, 210, 332 and N16) so far.
Many seem to be excited over the new TE's but have to say that they are nothing special and they are just like the TEH's at Cricklewood. Personally I think they look that great with Metroline because of the black headlight surrounds, but other than that they are just as good as the batch for the 211 except these have a better looking interior, but we all have different opinions.
Some things that the new TE's contain are:
- a batch of 11 buses (TE1307 - TE1317)
- a batch of 11 buses (TE1307 - TE1317)
-a body length of 10.2 metres
-a horsepower of 250 on a ZF 6HP1203B 6 Speed Gearbox with a Euro 5 Cummins ISB6.7EV 6 cylinder turbocharged and inter-cooled Engine
-a seating spec of H41/24D-Estaban Civic seats
Here's the fleetlist:
TE1307 - LK12AVD - body no. C402/1
TE1308 - LK12AVJ - body no. C402/2
TE1309 - LK12AVN - body no. C402/3
TE1310 - LK12AVT - body no. C402/4
TE1311 - LK12AVU - body no. C402/5
TE1312 - LK12AWA - body no. C402/6
TE1313 - LK12AWC - body no. C402/7
TE1314 - LK12AWJ - body no. C402/8
TE1315 - LK12AWN - body no. C402/9
TE1316 - LK12AWO - body no. C402/10
TE1317 - LK12AWP - body no. C402/11

Amazing pictures! I like their black headlight surrounds but prefer Quality Line's interior.
ReplyDeletei like the black headlights but its getting annoying now that most bus companies have e 400 s
ReplyDeleteLove the new slightly different design of the enviro 400 but prefer the Quality Line's interior.
ReplyDeleteHow comes Cricklewood bought new buses when they haven't won a contract?
ReplyDeleteI think these should be for Harrow Weald because the buses are really old, some dating back to 2002.
Hybrid versions should be for the 140 and diesels for 182 and H12.
Nice buses though. I like Metroline's interior.
