Route 22's new Gemini 2 buses

Go-Ahead London - London's biggest bus operator, has once again retained another route: 22, with Brand New Volvo B5L Hybrid 10.4m / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 and new Volvo B9TL 10.4m / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 buses from the 13th October 2012.

Route 22 has a Peak Vehicle Requirement of 22 buses and is operated between Piccadilly Circus and Putney Common, operated from Putney Garage (AF).

The route is also the best for visiting chocolate shops in London as it passes fourteen of the best including Artisan du Chocolat, Charbonnel & Walker, Fortnum & Mason and La Maison du Chocolat.

As a result of the change, the old WVL's have been refurbished and are now being used on route 257 after Go-Ahead London successfully gained the route (post to follow).

The route has used WVL's for the last 7 years and now Go-Ahead London seem to think the buses suit the route; updating the route with the same buses, but newer and updated with hybrids!
