Yet more ADE's - this time for route 220!

Earlier this year, London United decided on buying their first Enviro 400's and were first used on route 120. Since then, most routes at Hounslow Garage are now operated by these new ADE's, and this trend is still ongoing.

Now London United have ordered another 28 of these buses for route 220 after successfully retaining the route.

These buses have already entered service, before the contract has began, and more are currently at Park Royal Garage, awaiting checks.



Previously the route used a mix of TLA's and VA's:

Some things that the new ADE's contain are:

- a batch of 28 buses (ADE46 - ADE73)

-a weight of U.W. 11655KGS 

-a body length of 10.2 metres

-a new styled interior

-the latest London United moquette

-black headlight surrounds

-a horsepower of 250 on a ZF 6HP1203B 6 Speed Gearbox with a Euro 5 Cummins ISB6.7EV  6 cylinder turbocharged and inter-cooled Engine

-a seating spec of H41/24D

-Estaban Civic seats
