Route E20 - Your local link to Stratford

Route E20 provides connection between Harlow and Stratford 7 days a week. The route was thought up as in the Summer of 2012 Stratford became a very desirable travel destination mainly due to the Olympics and the Westfields Shopping center that is a located in Stratford. And now Travel With Hunny (TWH) can help you get there fast with direct service from Harlow.

The E20 is a great link to East End Of London where you can get connections to Ilford, Romford, Central London, Plaistow, Walthamstow and rail connections at Stratford International – National rail, Underground, Docklands.

The route started not to long ago at the start of October using 2 Ex Metroline London TP's (TP1 and TP38), which had been acquired through Ensignbus.

Not long after the route started a decision was made that the E20 would be converted to Single Deck as the TP class trident were using too much fuel and were Expensive to run.

The single deck came in the form of 2 Ex-Yourbus Dart's (KU52RYM and KU52RYF) and have been pictured below

These dart's have proved a good choice as reliability and time keeping on the route has improved quite a lot ever since theses have been running

When the dart's are not available you can find pretty much the anything from the rest of the fleet on the route and a few have been pictured below.

As this is a non London route you will have to pay fares but they are really not that expensive and a list is below, I must say that doing the whole route is great, country lanes at 50+ in some sections and a great view which makes a change from normal London routes that just go through busy urban area's and if you are lucky you might get 630DYE ;)

  1. Seen this bus a few times but didn't know much about it. Also I feel this route should have more modern buses as it goes a long distance. Citaro's maybe...

    1. The route is run by a family business so no chance of citato's unfortunately, the 2 pink dart's are there to stay

  2. So the bendy bus returns to London under a commercial route. :)

I do like the LED blinds they got. No wonder why TWH always have to blu tack or tape the destination blinds to the front window. They need to have all their buses to the correct colour scheme so people would recognise the route as well by the bus.

Well i hope TWH will not get any fare dodging from that bendy bus.

I hope to see in years time they run a hybrid bus specially the NB4L bus. :)

    2. We know, The big clue was the registration as it is owned by stagecoach, also note on the side it still has East London and finally the E20 does not pick up or set down at the main bus Station

But I think it was funny to see how many people fell for it
