Yet another batch of VW's: this time for route 52!

Route 52 operates between Willesden, Bus Garage and Victoria. The route was recently retained by Metroline from Willesden (AC) which was previously allocated 10.6m Volvo B7TL Plaxton President's and is now allocated brand new VW's / VWH's!

The route is 7 miles in length, has a Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) of 24 buses with journey time ranging between 35 - 50 minutes.

Before I go any further, I thought it'd be nice to include some pictures of what will be 'the past' on route 52.

Now, to the VW's / VWH's: 

Ever since Metroline ordered the first batch of these vehicles for route 237, it seems they haven't stopped liking them!

 A few months ago, Metroline ordered a few more of the VW's, as well as ordering their first batch of VWH's - for route 24.

Route 52 has the 9th batch of VW's and 2nd Batch of VWH's of which the company has ordered.

The buses would have entered service earlier, however, due to severe weather conditions, type-training was postponed by some time!
