Tender Awards - 29th August 2013

TFL have announced the following awards today (29/8/2013):

Tranche 440:

Route 262 - Retained by Stagecoach East London. Mix of New and Existing Double Deck with a PVR of 12




Route 372 - Retained by Stagecoach East London. New Double Deck with a PVR of 6

Route 396 - Retained by Stagecoach East London. Existing Single Deck with a PVR of 4.

Route 473 - Retained by Stagecoach East London. Existing Double Deck with a PVR of 10*.




* Note: The Current PVR of the 473 is 9 to compensate the temporary withdrawal between London City Airport and North Woolwich. 

The Existing element for Route 262 and 473 will be made up of buses displaced from Route 96. All new bus awards in this Tranche will be Hybrid buses.

The contract start dates for all routes in this tranche is 29th March 2014.

Tranche 441: 

Route 54 - Awarded to Stagecoach Selkent (From Metrobus). New Double Deck with an increased PVR of 16 (Currently 14). The route is due a frequency increase

Route 75 - Awarded to Stagecoach Selkent (From Metrobus). New Double Deck with a PVR of 13*.

Route T31 - Retained by Arriva London South. Existing Single Deck with a PVR of 9.

*Note: The 75 School Journey will be operated with a bus from Route 269 from Forest Hill to Lewisham.

Contract start dates:

Route 54 - 3rd May 2014
Route 75 - 26th April 2014
Route T31 - 10th May 2013

    I can't wait for the new hybrid buses on routes 54, 75, 262 and 372. They could be E400's but maybe NB4L's.

    1. I think the 54, 75 and 372 should have got E400. Those routes don't need hybrids. The 262 is fine with hybrids though.

  5. How about London routes W4, 34,41 & any existing North London routes.

  6. I cannot understand why arriva keep retaining or winning the lions share of the routes especially in north London?
    I.e. route 102/N102 34, 192 are the ones we have an interest in.
    Anybody shed some light on this subject.
